If you have to wait 4 days you could squeeze in visits to Brest and up the Aulne river.Camaret sur Mer isn't a bad place to get stuck while you wait for a four day weather window.

Possible but why would you want to? There is a lot to see in between.Thinking going to Audierne to wait.
Is it possible to get through Chenal du Four / Raz de Sein on a single tide, and if not where is a good overnight spot in between?
Didn't take any French charts or pilots as never intended to go to France, but we have Navionics and the almanac, so should survive...

Glad you found it interesting
Thank you , will bear that in mind when time comes ??Hi Webcraft,
How far have you got and what is your itinerary?
Any chance, you could PM your boat name so we can track you on ASI, or do you want to remain incognito. ?
Last time we came south we took 4 months from Falmouth to Gibraltar, we went around the Bay to Berlitz, overnight, Falmouth to Camaret and then day sails for the rest of the trip, visiting all of the ports on the way, so if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Hope you have great trip and fair winds.
Best wishes,
N
