Thinking going to Audierne to wait.

Is it possible to get through Chenal du Four / Raz de Sein on a single tide, and if not where is a good overnight spot in between?

Didn't take any French charts or pilots as never intended to go to France, but we have Navionics and the almanac, so should survive...

Possible but why would you want to? There is a lot to see in between.

Nice Plug :)

My videos cover going direct single handed in a rather smaller yacht!
That was my last boat. Current one is a Benateau 323.

I have sailed direct half a dozen times and the same or more down the coast single handed. The trouble with the direct route single handed is that you are very close to the main merchant ship tracks going north and south and its fairly busy around Ushant.... Not good for getting your head down on this 5 day passage to Bayona

Hi Webcraft,

How far have you got and what is your itinerary?

Any chance, you could PM your boat name so we can track you on ASI, or do you want to remain incognito. ?

Last time we came south we took 4 months from Falmouth to Gibraltar, we went around the Bay to Berlitz, overnight, Falmouth to Camaret and then day sails for the rest of the trip, visiting all of the ports on the way, so if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Hope you have great trip and fair winds.

Best wishes,

N

p.s. You will see the residency saga continues a pace in Liveaboard Link.

p.p.s. Cherod the same offer is open to you, should you want it.

I enjoy both. The coastal route is very sociable and pleasant and the offshore route gets you there fast... having waited for the weather window!
