Bird Crap!

Where can you buy these owls and where should they be hung for maximum effect? Had a look in the local chandlers and there wasn't a stuffed/plastic owl in sight. Can seagulls actually tell the difference between a plastic owl and some other random plastic bird/soft toy stuck on top of the boat? (The local gun shop sells plastic ducks and I'd have thought that toy shops sell rubber ducks, or I've considered stealing a teddybear off some poor unsuspecting toddler - but would these work?)

The local gun shop should do the plastic owls. Try some crow or magpie decoys from the gun shop. The seaguls dont like the eyes apparently. Still failing that buy a gun at the gun shop, that should work!

Was in Falmouth yesterday, saw a small sports fisher complete with plastic owl stuck on the pilot house roof......don't think it was the right place as the owl was covered in bird sh1t!

For overwinter, the blokes in the med use a load of cable ties all around the guardrails, with the long bits pointing up in the air.
