Can I mix Soltron and Bio Diesel in the same tank full of fuel? Soltron is supposed to breakdown the sediment but not kill the bug, and Bio Diesel is supposed to kill the bug but not break down the sediment.
Seems a simple one on the face of it, but I'm sure there will be a bizarre and costly catch...
Thanks.

Bio diesel is more likely to get bugs in the marine environmet so would use Soltron to stop it happening.

The Soltrons will rise up against the invading Biodiesels and after a long and valiant struggle over several full-length film episodes, the Empire of Soltron will emerge victorious.

Oh dear sometimes you really have to spell it out dont you! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

"Bio Diesel is supposed to kill the bug but not break down the sediment."

This statement is wrong Biodiesel actually gets more bugs as it has certain properties that they feed on in which is present in biodiesel in larger quantities.

However, "Mr Teacher" the answer to the question "Can I mix Soltron and Bio Diesel in the same tank full of fuel? " is Yes you can. Happy now /forums/images/icons/smile.gif he he

Bio Diesel starts in capitals in the original question, so I think it's meant to relate to an aditive that kills bugs, not diesel obtained from biological sources.

Hope you had a good evening, sorry I coludn't be there.

Another good point Soltron does actually kills the bug by removing its method of feeding, it then breaks it down so it can pass through the fuel filter.

Never heard of an additive called Bio Diesel?????

Thought I saw your boat on the rack at Cobbs on Wednesday.

No, I'm not on the one at Cobbs, I'm on the one near the lift bridge. Not very nice weather to be in Poole, on wednesday, was it?

It's a Starbrite product - there have been other threads on it recently!

have a look here - the original question was not about biodiesel the fuel, but about biodiesel the diesel additive - does my question make sense now?

Ok Ok but it wasnt clear that it was an additive and any way doesnt need both of them just Soltron.
