Big tide today.

On the Orwell (wrong forum I know) the inshore lifeboat stormed up the river to the "strand" just below the bridge at lunch time.
Cars stuck. We had the surge which started to leave but then the tide returned a1/2 hour later. I don't know what they were expected to do because with the bank along side the road it would be to shallow unless they waded in. They didn't hang around long..

We were replacing the navigation bouys in Otterham creek, Burntwick Island was almost completely submerged!

Going to go down to the boat today for some "essential maintainance" will have a look at the tide mark on our pontoon pile.
Have in past, been marking HW marks with dab of paint, suspect this one will beat them all.
