for me. Friday is my last day in the office, I'm working in the Far East next week, return to The Hague on Saturday 20 Dec, by which time I shall be a pensioner (like the RYA, at 60). So the sponsorship of my contributions these forums kindly provided by my employers will unfortunately come to an end. I hope to find time to continue posting at a reduced level, although inevitably the sailing, biking, camping and house renovation may intrude on my Internet time.

February/March are booked up for a round-the-world holiday, on return we plan to sail south, collecting the boat from Holland.

Best wishes to all, looking forward to seeing some of you on the water.

Vyv Cox.

Very best of luck to you. After 10 years of retirement I can authoritatively state that you won't be able to work out how you ever found time to go to work!

Best wishes - don't desert the forum - Bob

We will miss your experience and the depth of sailing knowledge you display in your posts. When you get back to settle down I am sure with a broadband connection and unlimited access you will want to get back into the cut and thrust of the banter. Or has translating the Scottish contingent finally wreaked its toll?

Have fun.

Hi Vyv

It seems like they are getting their last pound of flesh from you before you go!

Please don't lose touch totally, your contributions are always valued and when you are back sailing let us know where we might run into you (in the nicer sense of the word).

Very best wishes

Robin

Best of luck.

You must be one of the most longstanding contributors, you'll leave a gap. Thanks for all the help!

Me to

Hi Vyv, what an amazing coincidence. As from monday next i am redundant and thus kicked out of my job. No sad occasion since i saw it coming and i get a good redundancy arrangment. Its now waitiing for SWMBO to quit her job and we will be off too.

As in your case the soft sponsoring of my employer will come to an end, but i will still follow the proceedings on this forum whenever i can.

Happy sailing (quite litterally for you Vyv), Steffen

Congratulations! As an Irish friend, (who liked a paradox), used to tell me; "May this be the worse day of your life".

All good wishes for a long and fulfilling retirement.

Don’t go too far, we can't do without your shafts of enlightenment.
You can always make like a liveaboad and lurk in internet café's.

I took early retirement earlier this year, and it's wonderful.

Enjoy yourself, and if ever you find yourself short of crew, give me a shout . . .

Please do try to keep in touch, othewise you'll be sorely missed.

All the best

Jim
