We have a round plastic washing up bowl which, together with a sponge and a kettle of hot water, does just as well.
The bowl fits perfectly into the Jabsco bog.

The concept definitely has value.
Just wondering if the paddle wheel log might be better adapted.
One could even do some constructed maintenance whilst performing by cleaning the annoying paddle wheel . Finishing off with a refreshing blast of cold salt water would be great and sits in nicely with Victorian values of punishing oneself for being a human and having to go there in the first place.
