I have been in contact with someone who purchased my old boat. He is having a nightmare on Instow beach. He works away and his boat broke her mooring in Storm Darragh and has had damage to the rudder. She was settled deep into the sand, and he spent the weekend trying to free her. He tried to contact Instow Marine but he was getting no replies and he is pretty desperate.
Some kind soul must have saved her by deploying her anchor but he tried to get afloat at high tide tonight but couldn't break free although she is now on top of the sand. He can't return until next weekend when hopefully tide heights will favour him. In the meantime we have forecasts of another storm. He may well be in need of help. Anybody here with contacts that he could use, and l will pass them on. I am too far away to help.
