Better bang per buck. Biggies vs little 'uns

Reminds me of a period when blokes used to tie a flash sailboard to the roof of their Beamer to impress the dollies. They never untied it but left them there for the "flash" look. I suppose a wind vane on the transom- working or not- was just your way of pulling the other sex
Didn’t seem to have that effect ,unfortunately 🙁

Is that a windvane on your transom or are you just pleased to see me?

Any pullable crumpet who recognises "a wind vane on the transom", and what it is for, must be a keeper, surely?

Zoidberg make a valid point, I think. Last summer we were anchored in Canna, next to a massive Hallberg Rassy, and went aboard for coffee one morning. Sure, they had all the comforts we could only dream of, but when we started discussing favourite anchorages such as Gallanach Bay on Muck, or the pool near the harbour at Eigg, it became clear that his size prevented them visiting such places. There will be many others. Anyway, they see the same scenery as us, get the same weather and perhaps meet the same people, but we get "more bang per buck" with our 50 year old Westerly than they do with a nearly new, massive yacht.
So true!! Was rather unsettled in Canna on various occasions last season ,, but still so lovely.

Canna Harbour has been a maritime crossroads for thousands of years. There's little, now, to show for all that boat traffic.
