Beta marine mechanic/engineer advice (East Solent)

Hi, as titled…can anyone recommend a good Beta marine engineer/mechanic.

Boat’s near Emsworth.

I’ve had the boat over a year, engines running ok and I’m pretty handy, but I’m looking for someone to just look it over with me and answer a few specific questions and suggest any preventative work (to be done by me). Paid of course

Most diesel mechanics seem to be familiar with Betas, because there's a lot of them about, they're simple, and the Kubota base engines are used by other suppliers.

You could have a word with Beta as they are very approachable nd helpful. Last year they gave a Zoom presentation to the Westerly Owners Association, so if you are a WOA member you could watch that.

Thanks for the replies. I’ll give SDS a call, any other recommendations still appreciated.

re calling beta, I have also heard they are very helpful and wouldn’t hesitate to call…but my questions are not really issues with the engine specifically. More perceived excessive vibration at idle (suspected engine mounts), a ‘clackity’ sound in gear which I’m pretty sure is from either the rope cutter or the flexible shaft coupling, and adjusting the throttle/gear selector as it seems to shift into gear at a higher rpm than I would like. All pretty nuanced but things I’d like to get a second opinion on. The engine itself runs sweet as.
