Has anyone with this engine had the hose from the freshwater pump to the thermostat housing perish? It is a small hose with an unusual shape. I was wondering if anyone had the part number or had managed to fashion a replacement. Also anyone know of an indepth manual for this engine?
Thanks

Hi Gary, I've got two Beta BD722 fitted in my catamaran, hav'nt had any problem with the water hoses, but on a general pre launch inspection I found to my horror that the fuel hoses from the filter to the lift pump and from the lift pump to the injection pump on both engines were badly split, you could not see the splits until you applied a bit of pressure on the hose with your finger. worth checking.

Beta's aftersales service is excellent. A call to them on 01453 835 282 should get you all the answers that you need.

yeh ive got a beta bd722 in my vertue never had a problem but you must check the engine anode from time to time , also we changed all the pulley wheels at great expense to take a bigger and better fan belt when we installed the adverk , it all works like a dream , and beta after sales is second to none

I have had one for three years, no major problems. Check the engine anode, and clean out the heat exchanger stack(taking care not to shear the bolts.
All manuals can be printed off their website.
