Beta 35 filters

The engines are Kubota as you probably know. Unlike other dealers, I've found Beta's prices to be very reasonable - especially for filters. Seems a small price to pay for the absolutely superb advice I've had from them over the years.

For filters etc to my 20 hp Beta I have used this outlet on several occasions
Beta 35 (BV1305 1505) Beta 38 (BV1505)
and have received items from different manufacturers (Hengst, Mahle, Coopers Fiaam...), which have all performed satisfactory.
Thanks for the information

I've always bought from beta or our local beta dealer, both of whom have provided great service and advice. But boat is in Scotland and we're driving up over the weekend and wont be here for post so was hoping to pick up from a local motor factors here or on the drive up. Thank you both for replies

Just a word of caution - I have both a pattern (Blueprint) and genuine Beta filter as spares on board and the Beta filter is noticeably physically larger (despite obviously having the same thread). Interpret that as you will!

(50hp so part number won’t help - although happy to check later when on the boat)

I’ve also found motor factors don’t typically stock or list Kubota parts, but agricultural or plant machinery places do.

If you can take the actual filter into a decent factors (not ECP!) they might be able to match the thread/pattern.

Thanks

I had a similar situation with the oil filter on my Yanmar. The first time I changed it I was surprised to find the one in the kit was about half the diameter of the one it was replacing. I queried it with the supplier who said it was what they always fit so I used it and it was fine.
Thinking about it, and the fuel filter, as long as they are not completely clogged by the time you change them, they are doing their job, they are adequate. Most of us change filters in an annual basis and there's plenty of capacity left after a year unless you refill with a particularly contaminated batch of fuel.
