Bestest marine bedding Supplier.

Definitely Heirlooms. Not cheap but the quality is awesome

I have absolutely no doubt with your recommendation for Heirlooms and their quality but if "off the shelf" is required I believe The White Company to be a good alternative.(post #5) They use the same thread as Heirlooms ( 1000-thread count cotton sateen) . Just a happy customer and you can see the prices and order online, which i like. Heirlooms for bespoke obviously. :encouragement:

I agree that The White Company stuff is very good indeed and first choice for home use. But don't get carried away with thread count - above about 500 tc it doesn't matter. What really matters is the quality of the cotton and I don't think heirlooms and TWC use the same. Heirlooms high end stuff is definitely all Italian soft/silky cotton made and woven in the best Italian mills, and Heirlooms go to a lot of trouble to source it, whereas TWC and similar use (I believe, but I'll stand corrected if you know better) Pakistan cotton which is harder/rougher (relatively). I assure you that if you get into a TWC 100tc TWC bed and an Heirlooms 600tc Italy bed the latter will feel a LOT more luxurious. (I have the former at home and the latter most weekends!)

The other obvious thing as you say is that TWC make standard rectangular stuff whereas in a boat you have odd shaped mattresses. And then there is cost- I won't mention Heirlooms cost so as not to spoil rubberduck's weekend. First world issues!

Nick has templated the mattresses so bespoke it is.
RD, heirlooms will send you an Excel quote. Add a column and give each item a name ("crew cabin outer berth") and they will embroider labels and sew them in, always at foot of bed, so you know which way up the fitted sheet goes. Doing this makes "laundry management" super easy and is essential with several cabins imo

TWC uses Egyptian Cotton, Sateen. All that aside though Heirlooms are no doubt the best, the level of customisation they offer is second to none. :encouragement:  #Linenbadassery
