Hello,

Which of the many popular boat sales sites is considered the best? Some seem very similar, the most popular listing on Google seems to change, I guess they all work hard with their SEO.

I'd rather just pick the best site than having to pay across several.

Thank you

It looks like no one is bidding against 'Merry Fisher 855' with AdWords so why don't you make a simple website with Wix and run an AdWords campaign driving to your own site? Cheap and effective

I have sold my last 2 boats privately. One through Appollo Duck and the other via YachtMartket. Both £50 - £60k ish. It is worth paying the few extra quid to add photos.

I sold a similar boat recently. An advert on Find A Fishing Boat elicited no response, Boats and Outboards was slightly better and lead to the sale. A free advert on ApolloDuck lead to enough enquiries to justify a paid-up advert with them.
In retrospect, I’d place an advert with ApolloDuck first and follow it up after two or three weeks with an advert via B&O. Each time a new advert went live it brought more interest.

Anyone looking for a boat will probably try eBay anyway.
I sold my house in France from an eBay advert.
I also had a Speedboat, although I listed it with a Broker, I also listed it on eBay and in the advert I put that the boat could be seen at the brokers and any negotiations had to go through him.
It was my eBay advert which found the buyer not the Boat Brokers website.

Sold all my boats via FAFB and Apollo Duck. However I also always set up a simple website where you can go into much more detail and have many more pics. it really helps get rid of the tyre kickers and for me being the other end of the country it has proved invaluable in giving people all the info they need so that when they come to view, they coming to conclude the deal.

Freevirtual servers offer a free basic hosting package and they're really helpful people - no connection just a customer for the last 8 years
