i am in the process of having a rotating mast build.
this involves changing the mast foot and refitting the three stays to one common point.
despite the best efforts of the yard i can not see how the mast is going to be in exactly the same for/aft postion after the above.
a few mm on either point will throw the height of the boom out :-((
so, what would you do ?
fit a turnbuckle on the forestay, this might have to go at the top as there is no space by the sailspar furling gear.
or, ask for a slightly longer SS intermediate fitting between the mast and the top of the forestay, i can then have this changed afterwards for one a bit longer or shorter ?
or you know better ???
