Best value for money deck paint

Any ideas on non-slip deck paint that doesn't cost a fortune? I did the bottom of a wooden dinghy in sugar-sprinkled gloss (the sugar washes away leaving a textured surface) but I am not sure I'd risk it'd give whole cabintop enough grip...
 
I've used Exterior House Masonry paint. No need to mix any non-slip into it, can get it colour matched to choice.

I took in a chip of my old deck paint (Blakes Blue) and girl in the DIY shop matched it perfectly. I bought a large drum of it for 20 quid (about 12 litres).

Only point to note - it dries quickly, but is soft for a day or so. So paint and leave it for couple of days before walking on it.
No special preparation needed.
 
I used Sandtex for the first time last season after perennially painting the canvas decks with International Interdeck.
The colour is a near-perfect match and the Sandtex goes on better. So far there's been no flaking and it seems better at resisting staining.
The one down-side is that I could only find the textured Sandtex in 5 ltr tins, the smooth stuff in 2.5 litre.
For topsides I use Dulux Weathershield, but my hull is wood. For plastic you will need something harder.
 
I used Sandtex on my topsides about 5 years ago, its just starting to flake in small areas, but mostly its sound.
Edit, its a wooden cascovered deck.
 
Hi, I also use exterior masonary paint, I have a wooden boat with plywood painted decks, did use interdeck paint £21 a litre, but for the past three seasons have over painted with the above paint, easy to apply, dries quickly,seems to weather as well if not better than the expensive paint and at at £20 for 5 litres its just the job!
 
Another vote for B&Q masonary paint. Put it on the Macwester and it lasted well and looked good with a nice non-slip surface. Mind you, rumour has it some Macwesters were built out of bricks anyway /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
 
On my old boat, which had a vast wooden deck, I always painted with a mix of undercoat and gloss with several spoonfulls (or spoonsfull) of fine sand stirred in. It worked very well.
 
Brilliant!!! I shall give the B&Q masonary paint a go. It's the sanding I hate....

I think the cockpit will get std Exterior gloss.
 
i use International, brushed it out last time i done it was about 5 yrs ago. still god non slip ( it sparkles in the sun ) but the colour is fading i might do it again this summer.
i have seen it "stipled" its certainly very non slip & looks terrible & picks up the dirt
 
Oh no! I've just given away 10 litres of masonry paint because it's not suitable for a limewashed house.

Didn't think of the deck, crying out for a new coat of paint.

Daft b*****r ...... Pity you're not out here - I'd give you enough to do a big deck !!
