Best torch that runs on AA batteries

Suggest you get a Petzl LED head torch if you don't have one.Nothing like it for efficient hands free working plus an IR option to save your night-sight.Runs on AAA for days but fits the same charger as an AA and stows lighter in the pocket than any conventional torch.
(absolutely no shares in Petzl)

Energizer from the likes of B&Q or Halfords. I own both head torch and small hand torch varieties and I have never been let down. Stay away from maglights unless you want a throwing implement.

Are you gadget man or an honest camera bloke who knows his redheads from his blondes?

Go for the canonical solution: mini maglite and 1" camera tape round the top so you can hold it in your teeth more comfortably. I've also got a petzl headtorch but for some reason the mini maglite in the teeth is always my preferred solution in a crisis.

But who can see you in the dark? & why do you give a poop what others think? Bloody Southern nancy boy! Stand up for yourself & stuff the gongoozelers.
