Folleux, left bank of the Vilaine .

Very clean, you control the water temperature in the taps and showers, plenty of room to get dressed without trailing your trousers in a puddle, large capacity clothes washer and drier.

5 star.

Not boaty but earlier today First Mate and I used the Art Deco toilets in Nobles Park, Douglas, IOM.

They have been maintained but not restored since I last used them when camping in the 'Paddock Hotel' behind the TT Grandstand in 1979, the last time I raced on the TT Circuit.

It was like meeting an old friend...........................

We loved Mayflower marina facilities in the mid-90s. First time we had ever encountered fully private rooms with loo, handbasin with mirror shower and clothes hanging so you could go in there desperate and come out shaved, clean in clean clothes and all in privacy without the communal bits.

Still haven’t often encountered that since, alas.

RCN Bayonna. Everything from bar service to diesel dock to excellent heads and bathrooms.

Also Blue Lagoon Maina, St Vincent.

For totally amazing service, anywhere, Simpson Bay Marina St. Maaarten.

Haslar has just installed some new pods which are self contained units -it doesn’t have the luxury of an enclosed hallway like hamble point but the pods themselves a marked improvement and usefully on the pontoon not ashore. Lymington yacht haven and Berthon both worth a commendation plus those at ocean village Soton ok if a walk.

The recently refurbished and re-opened ‘Ocean Village Marina’ (formerly Marina Bay Marina) in Gibraltar. Self contained bathrooms with twin sinks, hair dryer, hand dryer, a walk in shower big enough for a party and a bath. Marina price for us at just over 12m (August 22) was £32 per night inc water, wifi and electricity. Find similar in UK!

Were you on the runway side? Loooong walk. Used to be much cheaper. Sad how that marina has faded to nearly dead. :(
