Best tender for Med

Need some help. Glue basically melted on our Honwave 2.7 so we Need a new tender. I gather Hypalon is the way forward for the Med. but I’m finding it hard to find one. There’s 3d tender which are pricey and then others in fabrics such as orca and decitex. At the boat show today excel offered to make us a volante in Hypalon but exporting to Italy was complicated.

4 up with shopping our family is about 350kg. We have a 4hp Yamaha. Is there any prospect of finding a good tender delivered to Sardinia for less than 2000 euros?

Would love suggestions for retailers or products. Seriously considering a trip to the Düsseldorf boat show to get one at this rate…

Seago make a "Hypalon type" premium dinghy the HY270. Not sure anybody uses the old style Hypalon any more and this is the nearest you will get. Pretty sure one of the big mail order outfits willl ship it for you. Would be surprised if similar is not available in Sardinia.

My first PVC Quicksilver lasted 13 years. Its replacement has not seen a lot of service but I was confident enough to buy the same make again.

Not all pvc is the same.

AB Inflatables is an Italian company that makes a range of hypalon (they call it ‘Orca’) rib tenders. We have the 3.1m version and it makes a great tender for 4 persons. Sadly though, it will cost you considerably more than your €2k budget!

AB inflatables are made in Colombia. Most hyperlon these days is orca fabric. Used by AB, Caribe, Highfield, etc

Hypalon was a Du Pont material originally used for roofing. They discontinued it some years ago. A very similar material CSM (Chlorosulphonated polyethylene rubber) is produced by Orca and Hanna Rubber Co.

Different sizes from 2.0m to 2.9m.

I had one. They have the inflatable floor. It has stood up to a decade of neglect and abuse with no ill effects.

AD have a few locations in Italy and they do mail order.
