Hi all, we have an external mixer shower on the Coronet that i plan to remove for the winter. What would be the best tape to use to cover over the resulting holes that will offer a degree of waterproofness but not leave marks when removed? The fitting is well above the waterline.

Thanks in advance!

I use electrical insulating tape. It does not leave adhesive on the GRP from my experience. I've overlapped the tape to cover 2" holes. I always ensure that I start at the lowest point first.

On really large holes tape on a piece of plastic ensuring there is plenty of electrical tape covering the edges.

If the surface is textured, sticking some sort of cover on using a bit of sealant works better than tape. Ordinary bathroom silicone and a suitable sized bit of plastic perhaps?

I'd just use gaffer tape, and if it leaves any sticky behind take it off with acetone.

But then I have both those items to hand on board :)
