Can anyone recommend a trusted, quality battery of around 130ah or higher for my river cruiser? I can't afford a lithium one but open to suggestions.

Ask if the ah quoted is c20 or c100. There's a significant difference. Buy from a high volume supplier to get fresh stock. Buy a heavy one.. (seriously, ask the weight when comparing) Try and get opening cell caps.

Ignore claims of 'heavy duty' or 'warranty' as pretty meaningless.

The default rating is almost always C20, indeed most suppliers won't even quote it as it's taken for granted.

You really can't assume that I'm afraid. Be wary.
One of the big suppliers who doesn't specify that capacity is C20 and also says "cold cranking" but doesn't say that it is to the normal CCA standard (30 secs to 1.6VPC @ -18 deg C) actually takes dreadful liberties with the figures.
On Red Flash in particular they were nearly doubling the true CCA figure by using the max short term current at normal temperature instead. My recollection is that for one model they quoted 1100A where the true figure was 650A.

Hankook is one of the brand names of AtlasBX batteries in Korea http://www.atlasbx.co.kr/en/index.jsp
They aren't bad but you need to watch out for extra claims by Batt Mega.
If you look under products - marine and RV you will see that Atlas call the XV series starting batteries, but here https://www.batterymegastore.co.uk/hankook-xv31.html it's claimed to be dual purpose deep cycle
Atlas call the DC series dual purpose starting and reserve load; but here https://www.batterymegastore.co.uk/hankook-dc31.html it's called deep cycle and no starting performance is given
Atlas's top grade for cycling is the XDC but BM don't seem to offer that one.
The XL is a bit of a mystery, that designation doesn't appear on the AtlasBX website as far as I can find. I haven't seen anybody else claiming 130Ah out of that box size, it's usually 100Ah. (The XV31, DC31 and XDC31 are all 100Ah C20 on the Atlas website)

AtlasBX marine and RV catalogue here http://www.atlasbx.co.kr/en/images/product/E-NEX(2017)_re.pdf

Thanks for the suggestions. It looks like the Exide batts are coming out on top at the moment.

Is it better to have sealed or unsealed?

You may find that your local battery supplier, motor factor or even chandler can do a decent deal on brand name or no-name batteries.

Perhaps look at the Yuasa Marine Line range.

Usually no delivery charge and local convenience.

When I asked one of the big superstores what the difference was between the batteries and prices they implied only the guarantee...!!
And even then the t and c are not exactly favourable ...

You would make some inroads in to the cost of upgraded batteries by revising all your lighting and consumption first? LED lamps inside will reduce amperage by almost a factor of 6. Ditto fridge settings? How much does it need to be on?
