I've never rated the chippie in Lymington High Street either - always greasy. Now if you really want a good fish chips there, but it's not takeaway, go into the Kings Head just over the road. Real "man size" portion and takes some beating quality-wise too.

Agree with that - we have had the pensioner's portion on two occasions and thought they must have made a mistake - they were so generous.

On the other hand - we tried to use their wifi unsuccessfully ( try the chimney ) and were informed that the kitchen and bar were both using it OK so they couldn't understand why we weren't.

Trekked up to good old Wetherspoons for Happy Hour (all day)Half Price (it was a Monday) where 'The_Cloud' is reserved for customers only.

That AND a gold letter box!
