Re: Boats Mentioned So Far

I was going to put that too and bombard him with all that old stuff.

but thought it would get wakeup riled and he would start another fight

prob is with rags it is probably too expensive to fake a convincing storm on a sound stage. whereas you can razz around in power boats and plan your set peices.

Puppet on a chain: A Shakespeare and what looks like a Broom.

Face off: A Wellcraft and some other crap yankie boat

Several episodes of Miami Vice with Don Johnson in his Chris Craft and Scarab

But my favourite would have to be Gator: an old Bert Reynolds film set in Lousiana ( I think ) where he plays a moonshiner.

What about the 2 Scarabs in "Face off"

Titanic.
Rubbish film.Rubbish actors.Rubbish mangling of storyline.Rubbish music.
Puke Puke Puke.

And here is the weekend weather..

Saw The Tweenies on CBBC yesterday when Max takes out a Fairline 21 Sprint - he's not a M*****t but a puppet. Also a classic is the Motor Boat part 1 tutrial video has to be unreal because the husband and wife under tuition are actually polite to eachother on board. The most unreal plot ever.............

Some day my boat will come..........

More Scarabs, and Coliholic\'s boat

Scarab in Baywatch (so I'm told, was too distracted to notice).

Howard's Way (sealine something?)

Boston Whaler 13 with Merc 20 in Flipper

Coliholic's last boat, in Rosie and Jim :-)

The Long Good Friday - a Fleur De Lys or Moonen I think

For goodness sake, you'll be talking about Rosie & jim next!!! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

You wana see part II - They come to a sudden halt when something gets tangled round the prop and has to be cut free.... He never swares once and she doesn't instantly blame him or anyfing. I mean come on lads let's get some realism in there.

I must admit that this video doesn't exactly invite newbees into boating, it almost says don't buy a boat coz it will all go badly wrong on your first trip out.

I think that there is the remnants of a partially edited S**T! expleteive from Mr Polite as he hits the flotsum - amazing thing is they have a fully equipped diver on board. The calmness of the situation is awe inspiring - hey these little incidents do happen but lets keep smiling at each other and the camera. Part 2 is a classic amongst classics - a Titanic of boat videos. I wonder if the polite couple are still boating or still together for that matter ?

Lethal Weapon ?

When Riggs and the other chap are on his boat drinking and they get into a fight and fall into the marina.

"We're on a case"
"Yer... a case of scotch"

Chichester security never had boat to play with, just a push-bike. I think drinking and falling in is a more realistic presentation of motor boating than this jumping over Police car stuff.

So you unscrew this, and put it safely here, then oopps...
All - IMHO, BTW, FWIW and NWGOI

Re: Best Sailing Action Sequences - WIND!

Wind - as the best sail action film. The film by Francis Ford Copplia(spelling?) with real 12 metre Americas Cup Yachts (with real racing yachtsman) and fast Skiffs, the action just like it is aboard the AC you see at the moment. even the main actors (including Jennifer Grey (dirty dancing)) had to learn to sail. Great stuff!

Re: Best Sailing Action Sequences - WIND!

What about the remake of the Thomas Crown Affair? Pierce Brosnan and Renee Ruso on some dirty great Sailing Cat flying one hull?
