best deal insurers 32ft yacht on swinging mooring 9 months

Re: When I last checked with them...

I've tried to get a quote from Craft Insure, but they have a list of nearly 80 locations which they won't insure you for. Sadly my mooring is at one of those sites. I must admit that I am surprised at the length of the list of places that they won't insure if your mooring is there.

Re: When I last checked with them...

Sorry about that, I wouldn’t have got insured by them on my last mooring - Portland Harbour, but on the River Frome I get 12 months in commission. If excluding lots of (perceived) higher risk areas allows them not to bother with other (petty IMO) T’s & C’s and helps keep the price sensible, I won't be complaining /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Brest to the Elbe - under 400 quid. And yes, it is insured quite well 100,000, with personal equipment etc. Thanks.

I have to say this sounds too good to be true, yacht insurance at < 0.4% of insured value!

My insurance with GJW on a new boat of the same length works out at 0.55% of insured value. When I got this quote at SIBS 2004 another insurer also offering instant quotes at the show would not even bother to compute a premium when he heard about the 0.55% quote.

Agreed. Tried the rest and got nowhere, DRL listen, are flexible and very competitive.
