Best bit of kit ever

Yep - I've got some too. Drying out on a hard can be difficult if the tide sets across it, but keeping the motor going with the helm over keeps you straight. if you do slew round, you can have the legs at different lengths so all is not lost!

Does anyone know if they need any maintenance. I did flush them with fresh water and they run smoothly but I'm sure some grease wouldn't hurt if I could sus how to get it in there

Scrubbing off is forbidden in the part of France where I keep my boat except in designated places equipped to collect the contaminated water.

I suppose it is only a matter of time before such restrictions apply throughout Europe.

Only problem I ever had was the grub screws came loose. Worth checking they are tight. Should have had Loctite but it may have been missed.

You wouldn't dare do a tidal grid scrub anywhere in N.Z At the same time they insist you have a clean bottom and dont spread invasive pests ! Go figure.

That's why I've got the bottom coppecoat. The only thing I'm putting back is the human effluent that is sticking to that from all the water companies discharge. This is the uk after all. By the way we dont swim with our mouths open any more.
