best anodes?

I’m replacing my hull & shaft anodes next week. The last couple of years I’ve used plastimo shaft anodes and from what I can tell they seem to diminish at a greater rate than the MG Duff ones I used before.

There is quite a difference in price so are the MG Duff ones better?

Zinc will vary in purity but what effect that would have on an anode I can't be sure of. I would have be a fair assumption thought that cheaper anodes would have been less pure zinc. Is it a reasonable to say that the impurities would cause self electrolysis of the anode? We attempted to buy a Yanmar SD20 saildrive anode over the weekend. The oly thing available from the four or five chandlers we contacted was a third party one and the same question came to our minds.

Try these people, I have used them for years and I find their anodes are a very good quality and much cheaper than anything you buy in a chandler! they make the anodes themselves I believe.
