There you go, Dylan.
Should keep the 'Centaur' pot boiling for a few more months.

Immediate thread drift but does anyone know what size anchor will fit into the anchor well of an Anderson 22? ( I didn't have the guts to start my own anchor thread!)

Knackered old Volvo, on a chain. Obvious, innit?
good plan...
I have to say I tend towards a heavy cheap chinese and lots of chain - and a second anchor as an Angel when it gets frightening
D
Sounds like it would be best to put a well in the bows of the boat, then any sort should be great.............

In fact one wonders how many of the 2500 made ever went anywhere!
A bit like "Nobody uses trains any more - they're far too crowded".
Would solve the problem of the soggy foredeck!
Anyway the anchor required is one that holds it firmly attached to the land - dangerous to take out a boat where the engine is rubbish, the keels likely to fall off, the rigging needs replacing, the foredeck delaminates etc etc. In fact one wonders how many of the 2500 made ever went anywhere!
What's the point of an anchor, whether it holds on firmly to the land or not, when the foredeck on which the mooring cleat is mounted is disintegrating.
What do you call a Centaur with no foredeck, no engine and no keels ........ ?
"No we haven't got one of those, there's no demand for them!"
