Have electrical troubles again! Can anyone tell me what the icon after DC Volts means on the above pic.
Thanks

It means an alarm has been triggered but muted. Alarms are hi/lo volts on any of the batteries or low amp hours. You get into the menu settings by pressing the top and bottom buttons together.

Your right, wrong photo! But that pic is showing a discharge even thought the stirling charger is on. Hadn't thought of alarm, I'll look at that. However this pic shows what the meter thinks of two brand spanking 180 Amp batteries just fitted.

Have you got a manual for the meter? Is it wired correctly? Have you set up the battery parameters correctly? (Although that shouldn't affect a simple voltage reading).

It is showing all 3 batteries, house and both engine batteries at 11.5V, the new Stirling charger knows they are not and is in standby mode. The meter was fitted 7yrs ago along with BEP VSR for 2 engine 3 battery set up. I'm still trying to find the misplaced manual, from what I remember it was more like a leaflet.

You'll find a manual on the internet, I'm sure, and it's quite detailed. Or I have a PDF file of the manual - PM me with your email address if you'd like it.

If you're sure the batteries are good then it must be poor wiring to the meter with high resistance resulting in a low volts reading.

The Icon does indeed show that the aalrm is muted

Press button A and hold for 2 second to reactivate or mute.

If reading 11.5 on all three batteries either

> all three equally flat

>monitor on blink

>Bad negative ( ground ) connection ... #8 ( screen) .. to monitor. But then monitor probably would not work at all

Start by checking voltages at batteries and at monitor. #8 and #1,#2 or #3 with an independant meter

I'll be having another go at the week-end. Batteries are fine. I might have disturbed a wire when putting the new 180 Ahr batteries in the battery compartment, it was a bit of a struggle as they seemed to have got a lot heavier since I changed batteries 7 yrs ago!
