Bennett Trim Tabs

I have Bennett trim tabs and on recent trip trimmed the bow down port and starboard tabs. The port lights lit up all the way down to the bottom of the switch but then started to go out one by one back up the switch to about half way. They then started to go back down again. After a few seconds they started flashing and seemed to be doing their own thing. The starboard lights on switch remained on all the time.

Boat still handled well, did not heel to one side so assume tabs were still down. Got back to marina and got someone to raise and lower tabs while I looked over the swim platform and port tab was working fine along with starboard but lights on port side still playing up. These are hydraulic and fluid level in reservoir is fine. Can the panel please help in suggestions on where to look for the problem or if anyone has experienced this themselves please. Help is greatly appreciated.

Alan, i seem to remember a similar issue with mine, that was cured when a solenoid valve failed, maybe try swapping them and see if the problem swaps sides ?

Will give that a go. not down to boat for a couple of weeks but will try that. From memory I think these just unscrew??

Yes, they do. Be prepared for some fluid loss. I think, for some reason, i had to cut the wires, but it was a while ago....
