Looks like an ordinary circular anode; your local chandlery should have them.

That is a strange place to mount an anode. I thought hull mounted anodes only protected items that were in "line of sight". What is it protecting?

It may be there to provide an earth for the internal electrics.

I’ve got the same on mine, cabled to the rudder stock. The anodes on the rudder itself show no degradation after two years so I assume the rudder is covered by the big hull anode. You can get them here 00102UKAL - 100mm ALUMINIUM Bolt on Disc Anode 0.4kg | Anode Outlet I put aluminium on mine this year, seems to be working well.

This is the original transom/hull anode mounted on Antares 8: VETUS hull anode type 8, zinc, excl. connection kit. Might be the same on Antares 7 and 9?

Interesting. No anode fitted on the transom of my Antares 760, and there never has been, and no problem with corrosion of the original stainless rudder or stock after 21 years!

Agreed, my 760 has no hull anode there and all the running gear is in good nick but I do need to replace the rudder anodes annually (unlike Jamie) so they are basically doing the same work I guess.
