I have recently rebuilt my lifting keel mechanism prior to selling my boat and the new owner asked if I could do him a drawing of the mechanism (The official one is poor). So for those of you who may be interested I attach copy of the drawing which may help others with a similar arrangement. I have created 3D CAD models of the nylon blocks which I CNC machined from suitable blocks of material, these models are available on request. The Stainless steel straps were fabricated for around £20 using 316 Stainless steel bar from an online supplier (£85 + VAT) from Beneteau! It's all pretty straightforward and I hope it can help someone else out!

Nice drawing mrplastic. I wish I'd produced something similar when I rebuilt mine a few years ago on my 323.
Just a few words of caution though for anyone planning to rebuild or refurb one of these type mechanisms.
There are at least 2 variations on the way it is made/ built.
The version in the drawing with the tube and bronze nut attached to the winch socket end with the threaded section attached to the keel end, or the version like mine which has the screwed section attached to the winch socket end (upper) and the tube and bronze nut attached to the (lower) keel end. In other words the assembly is inverted. This was done I was informed, to try and keep the bronze nut out of the water as much as possible.
As well as that build difference, the bronze nut and threaded rod section vary in the thread used and there are at least 3 maybe 4 variations available from Beneteau (or there were when I ordered mine). They sent me the one they specified, prior to lift out and it turned out to be incorrect. Cost 85 euros. I then had to reorder the correct one at another 85 euros and a 2 week wait - no refund. I think they get them made to order maybe.

Would you pm me to arrange a copy of the pdf file so I could put it on the Beneteau 331 Facebook group, unless you have done so already.
