Beneteau 22

I have been asked to set up a beneteau 22
I know little about the class & while i am knowledgeable on fractional rig set i need more detailed advice.

can anyone direct me to an owners forum where i might get specific info on the 22 rather than just a beneteau or fractional rigs. Ie rake, rig tension & some tips on sail settings etc

Thanks - the owner has told me a 22 but i will follow your link as there should not be too much difference. This one has lifting( swivel) keel & stub grounding plate

There is also a Beneteau 22 which is very different to the 210/211/217 range - it's like a scaled up First 18.

As i said i need some tips from a sailors forum of people who actually sail the things. I am sure with the numbers beneteau sell there must be one but i have drawn a blank

If its a Bene 22 then its a very different beast from the 210/21.7 etc.
The 22 is a 1980's fractional rig jobbie. I've never seen an owners association.
I'd just set it up like any fractional rig, little bit of rake (4-5" at deck level) and get it in column.

Depending on how good the sails are depends how essential it is to get it spot-on.

If its the 210 the there is an OA as shown above.

I was wondering of the rig needs to be firm or super firm.
I assume a small boat like this will be hard to get really tight.
Not sure what to expect on this type of boat
As suggested it needs to be sailed a few times plus a couple of races but better if some consistent sailed similar boats are around each time to gauge differences
I am told the boat & sails have had little use. But i do not know what they are like to start with
