Bellow clamp tool??

Do I need to buy the tool for fitting and removing the bellows on my Volvo dp outdrive or is there a screwdriver/socket bit that will work.
The part number of the special tool is 884573.

I could be wrong but I thought they were just jubilee clips?
On my sx drive also jub clips I used a 7mm socket and a couple of extension to get nicely in there, screwdriver slipping might damage something.

Not anything special, just a flexible hose clamp driver (7mm hex as already said) though not all hose clamps are 7mm most are and for that reason is a really useful tool to have aboard anyway.

Thanks, wasn't sure if it was a random or unique size so you had to buy the proper tool.

Up to two years ago the Volvo clips had a screwdriver slot as well as the 7mm hex, now it's just the 7mm hex on the later clips, Volvo changed manufacturers and I'm sad to say the latest clips sometimes don't last a year before they corrode away and let water into the bellows, progress eh.

That obviously wont do, is there a recommendation for alternate clips?
