Anyone got any experience of these boats, the 850 looks interesting.

Re: Bella bots

Yep,

They made my Boat! Part of the same group. Bella are the entry level boats in the range. All the quality of the aquadors but not quite as nice fitout. Very solid and reliable boats. The 850 has a small front Berth which feels a bit cramped. I prefer the layout of the 765. They are also partially owned by the brunswick group.

Re: Bella bots

Do they have a mid cabin as well or just the one "v" berth then a dinette in top cabin ? cant tell from the pics.

Re: Bella bots

No,

They do not. there is no room for a mid cabin. On the Aquadors they have a pilot berth but it is really only big enough for a child. Nice boat though and for the scandis seemed priced well. You might be better off the the Faustino 26 see Here

I think the layout works well but not quite as sexy!

Re: Bella bots

There was a Fantino 26 on the pontoons just down from us at SIBS. Looked like a nice boat, with a good level of fit out and well thought out. I did think it looked a little uncomfortablke in the design stakes, all very much pushed out towards the extrmities giving her a 'heavy' shape. That said, wheel house had good headroom and she looked comfortable.

Worth closer inspection i reckon...

edit: I like the look of the 850, very swish with an interesting layout. ANy idea what the prices are? I guess from what you have said less than the Aquadors by a margin?

Re: Bella bots

Not sure what the engine is. A little worried about the space and particularly the berth, need to see one really.

Re: Bella bots

If only...It is Scandanavian.

The Faustino with D3 is around £70k mark. The 850 with D4 is around £90k mark.

Still cheaper than an Aquador as the 26HT is around £107k mark.

Blimey, a £20k hike for the D4 is a bit extreme. Cost difference from VP is only about £4000 /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Re: Bella bots

I wrote a small piece about this boat in the Sept 02 issue of MBM. The boat had a double berth fwd, a single pilot style berth under the saloon seating separated from the forward cabin by a curtain and a separate heads without standing headroom. The saloon seating was not able to be converted to a double on the boat I went on, and even it it did, it would only provide a berth around 5' long. I remember really liking the boat.

Re: Bella bots

It's not your neck of the woods I know but I was in Salterns Brokerage in Poole harbour last weekend and my friendly broker was asking if I knew anyone who might be interested in a Bella boat as they could offer a very good deal on them at the moment as they are some sort of distributor(yeah I know all brokers say that...but he knew I wasn't interested myself) might be worth a call to get a pricing reference point.

I thought both were for the 850. My appologies, must learn to actually read and digest the posts.
