Being Harrased By Forumite

I was out for a sail on Saturday. Lovely day. Northerly with a bit of East in it (that means gusty on Windermere).
I was sailing towards home when I saw this boat approaching

It turned out to be a forumite. Hardly seen him under sail on the lake in 8 years I've been here (me weekdays, he weekends).

Sunday I went out to my boat on it's mooring. He was there again, but made off.
Am I being stalked?

On a more sensible note, they are lovely phot's and I wish that someone took pictures of our boat under sail like that!

You know, I'm sailing most weekends and I hardly ever see Lakey, then I see him twice in one weekend, and had a chat too. I bumped into Sandgrounder at Ferry Nab later on too.

Thanks for the pics, a good reminder of a grand sailing day (and Sunday).

3) Do all boats have a faded Newton Crum sticker with racing flags on, or is it just us?

I use it as a log and compass.
I'm still getting the hang on how to get the best pace from the boat and the speed log is so accurate you can get a feel for things like fore/aft trim and sheeting versus speed. 5.3 knots on Saturday was my max speed. Averaged 3.9 knots whilst I was out for an hour or so. Not bad for a boat with a 14.5ft LWL.
The compass I don't need really. I know where I'm going.

Bob's sails are perfect. You'll say that if anyone posts pictures of Feckless anyway.

It is nice to have shots of your boat under sail. I usually carry my camera with me.

Looking at the pic I thought that too. I can't see that top bit from the cockpit, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

I have some tell tales on and use them, but I can only usually see the bottom two sets, the top ones I have only used when just sailing on the jib.

I have tried adjusting the car but haven't got it right yet, or it's close enough for most situations and it's going to stay where it is.

If I'm supposed to adjust it every time the apparent wind changes it's not going to happen.

It is a bit awkward on a lake. You can get your sails nicely trimmed and within 30 seconds the wind can move once or twice.

Looks a lot better a 7 seconds earlier. (I checked the time code on the shots)

I got one of them too. It's inside the cabin, but it has still faded to white & blue only.

So any forumites got access to replacements for Lakey, me & AchillesH?
