I have had a great few days playing with the new Fairline S48. I was on the chase boat a Princess 42, for the second 2 days and thought you mite like to see it from the other side. After helming her for 2 days , she is a cracking boat on IPS, a bow thrust I would recommend but I would on any IPS boat

It does look good and is fun but can be long days and sorry to say only once or twice a year , that kind of job happens. need a Yachtmaster offshore with commercial endorsement, and if can an instructor ticket to.Then the rest is luck.

I did wonder why bonnie of lomond had been launched at rk yard, how was it with the smaller d6 370 hp engines?

My old princess is sat in the centre of the yard ready for Mondays first lift on to transport.

Bonnie did fine, nice cruising boat , topped out around 28/29. little slow on tick over if tide strong but does as she was told when she was told. and great TV reception on her.

Let's play guess the location. I say Mallorca. Clear bue sky. Turquoise water. Crew in t shirts. Ah the very essence of boating.

I know it is only a magazine review but you would have thought fairline would have press boats in the med. grey skies and waterproofs is not really going to help shift 500k plus of boat. Look darling this is how we can spend our holidays.

They did for the others, but she is number 1, only just finished, They could not get her out to med in time, but I am waiting to see the stuff they did ,I have been told it is good. and looks like the med, but shot in the Solent.

As it happens I'm supplying Fairline bags for 2014 and I'm waiting for the new design coming through this week from this photo shoot so we can start production. Be interested to see how 'Med based' they make it look.
