Beetle and Wedge

Had a very nice lunch yesterday, very impressed with the food and service. Given the location and overall quality I thought very reasonably priced as well. Moorings OK, but was a bit worried seeing the odd old wooden post sticking up, but didn't have any problems. That old bloke on his tractor was very busy with a constant stream of visitors arriving, he disappeared behind the moored boats but could see where he was with his ciggy smoke rising above.

You can moor anywhere on the left after Cleeve lock on the way up to the Beatle, you can get as close as a few hundred metres, nice open spot good for dogs, although actualy there maybe sheep about sometimes. Don't moor on the right or the nasty man in the tractor will come and turf you off;)

The farmer on the left hand side upstream of Cleeve lock put his mooring charge signs up this week. He only bothers during peak season. Sorry I don't know what he's charging this year.
