I have been instructed by Lord Pearson (Earl of Keynes) that this coming Beer and Natter shall have a raffle and auction to raise funds for the British heart Foundation. Any donations of prizes would be most welcome.
We already have some BIG prizes and Gary told me tonight he's going to have a rummage in his Mrs's potting shed, and though he hasn't been there for a while, he's sure last time he looked there was something there Steve Dunstable might like. Those that attended the last gig in November will undoubtedly remember the bag of cleats donated by Andy and Alison, a fantastic prize but did cause the raffle to last through the night and into the following day. This year with the help of Mark (Ellassar) it promises to be a much more polished affair.
So, to start off Luke from "Marine teak" has donated a teak cockpit table which we will auction to the highest bidder. Pictures will be posted later and I'm told whoever wins this will have some thing very special indeed.
A Sealine Jacket is also up for auction ,again details to follow.
CharlieAlpha of this forum has donated a (2010 so "should" need a service..) 6 man liferaft which will either be auctioned or raffledon the night.
We will be approaching boaty businesses in the area to see if they would like to donate a prize so hopefully the list will grow. But have a rummage around and don't be put off by the top prizes above, it's all about having a bit of fun as some of the "lucky winners" will remember from last time (no you can't give them back
