This will be held at the Royal Welsh Yacht Club, Porth yr Aur LL55 1SN on Saturday 25th April 2015, serving at 7.30pm. There will be a Chef cooked meal at around £15 per head (details below) and we have negotiated a discount at the Victoria Dock marina.

It also looks like there will be an informal preamble in the Black Boy (Buoy!?) on Friday evening for the early arrivers.

Dress code, informal/ smart casual. The Club doesn't have any rules to enforce, but most people like to smarten up a bit for a meal, however Kwacka & I are exempt as we don't do "smart". :p

Parking will be available on the Slate Quay (payment required) or if it is closed, outside the Harbour Office for free. The Club is basically on the far side of the Castle entrance door inside the Barbican Gate "Porth yr Aur" (Golden Gate - it looks due west into the setting sun)

Menu Choices (please pm me with your selection)

Leek and Potato Soup or Pate on oat cakes

Chicken in Tomato based spicy sauce or Cardigan Sausages both with seasonal vegetables and potatoes
(Cardigan sausages contain mushrooms blue cheese onions and bread crumbs so are suitable for vegetarians)

others had expressed an "interest" but not yet committed (sorry but no more room at the inn), this already promises to be an absolute cracker.

There is a slipway by the Marina (Old Ferry Slip) and the Rowing Gig & Seawake ribrides will run from there. Not sure about Kwacka's timings, but the gig will be there between 3 +5pm Saturday.

I suppose now you have the final date, and hosts who beat me, by quite a few miles, on distance traveled to the last Natter.
I forgave you both.
It would be very rude not to accept the invite...
For now put me down as a possible, and I will confirm in the New Year.
Best wishes. Festive greetings, and all that..

Hmm, you may still have competition if Little Ship travels from Scotland after launching . . .

Now Here This!
I have Booked 'Black Jack' our 8 metre RIB, For to the Purpose thererof of firtlin about the Strait at our delicatation
So thems that come by land or air can play with it
She holds the Official Record ( timed by the RYA by the way)) of Circumsizin Anglesey innit
Oh! there will be Rental of £! per Bonce minimum, to go to an Autistic Charity
Me Mate Duncan, who is in with me in our little boaty business has Children who suffer a kind of Autism and we do as much as we can to support Children who have these problems
I hope that will be ok with All
So unless someone has a real Pet Charity can we do this Peeps?
If you Guys agree I will post details
Oh and by the way no need to lump LJ's with you, we have loads
Fetch yer own 'Oilies' though!
Really lookin forward to this Now!
:encouragement::encouragement:

Mmmmmmmmobo's, oh well what the hell I have an engine in my saily boat type thing so popping across to sample the sheep will be no problem, maybe.

It was the temptation of being able to destroy Kwaka's RIB for charity that swung it :D:D:D
Oh no, not some more RIB Gell coat repairs!
Guys , I can't tell yer!
Anyway
'Black Jack' is a sturdy vessel
An 'after helm' with viewing to all who sail in Her
So
we will see who bends or breaks Her, I would like to think, there are loads of Locals who can navigate through the 'Swellies, etc etc in the Menai' but I now Nominate cozzykim to Helm over the weekend, cos I intend to get Pissed!
:encouragement:

Can I put my hand in? No point in trying to get HLB to come, he does not travel well these days, but there is every chance I will be able to get there, but sadly Sultan will be gone by then, by one means or another! Last resort is cut her up!! :(
HLB has now moved home, no longer at HLB Towers, not at HLB Castle back up in the hills of East Lancashire. We moved him last Sunday, I have to go back to HLB Towers on Sunday to take the final meter readings.

Hmm, many locals planning to be on the water on the Saturday or Sunday (or both)?

It would seem be a travesty to consider a 540 mile round trip and not at least consider taking the boat and exploring the Menai Starit... :)

If that's your boat in the pic, believe me, you'll enjoy that. ;)

There is a launching ramp just West of Caernarfon on the Sarn Helen Road where most of the sports boats & fast fishers launch, trailers can be left on the grass by the ramp & there are tractors available if you have a problem for any reason. Please note that altho it is neaps, tides are still around 5m. Kwacka will have his rib & there will be trips on saily boats too no doubt. There are 5kt speed limits around the moorings & they are policed.

Mein Kapitein has been added to zee leest.
