Interesting that the 'normal' admission price to the House, Grounds and Museum would be £20.00 for an adult and £9.00 for child.

This proves my point about clever marketing.

Would 10,000 boat jumblers pay £49.00 for two adults and a child?

No, I think not. So they discount the admission price to a point just below where they determine that the pips would squeak and guarantee their 10,000 on the day.

For us it would not be a family day out! It would be another day of sniffing around junk hoping for a bargain. Not going to pay £26.90 for that; sorry.
