Beale Boat Show

At £10 for the mooring and £7 per head is the show worth doing - for the captian and the deck-hand this is about 8 pints of ale.

Depends what you want out of it? its a very small specialist show that really focuses on small wooden craft, power and sail and I mean small. I have done it for years and really enjoy it but its more of a "gathering" of enthusiasts in a field.

7 quid, some moan that is nto good value but I believe you cant buy a packet of cigarettes for that, or two pints of ale in my pub.

If you like the look and smell of wood then give it a go but dont expect a full on boat show.

It has a good beer tent.

Its a good little show with a nice atmosphere definitely worth £7, you don't have to go by boat but the moorings further down stream are free usualy.

Hi,
UKHBBR members are sailing/rowing/paddling down the Thames to Walton in homebuilt boats leaving the show at 3.00 sunday afternoon. Any forum members going to be around to wave us off?

Beale Park Boat Show

This is a nice little show and worth a visit and it is great to go there by boat. It is one of our favourite spots on the river.

£7 does not seem too bad. Having just looked at their website I see that the £10 mooring fee is for advance bookings to reserve a space. I didn't realise you could do that and when we have been before have always managed to find somewhere.

They have about a mile of moorings so you should not have too much of a problem, provided you don't want to tie up right outside the entrance. We went last year for the first time for a while. The beer tent was open in the evenings for boaters with live music so you get a bit more for your money.
