How do I go about getting my hands on a copy of the BCYA Blue Book?

It gets mentioned a fair amount in threads and as a newbie to the area sounds like it would be worth obtaining a copy.

I think you will find they are all sold. You may find somewhere like Watchet marina may have one hidden on their shelf. I heard the BCYA are putting together a new edition which I think is planned for this year. There is some sort of issue with with copyright, that means they are restricted to a certain number of copies per edition.

From experience well worth the effort to get one. But I already gave mine away when we left the Channel.

The B.C.Y.A. Handbook sometimes refered to as "Blue Book" because the original editions were blue! is due for re publication a bit later this year, we are working on it at present!

No - not yet. It is being updated and should be reprinted this summer (TBC).
