Bayliner 285 Canal and No Power

Thanks everyone for the replies so far. I'm now looking at a sealine 290 twin diesel. It will be used on the Gloucester and sharpness canal which is very wide and the river Severn for access to upton and Avon canal at bristol. Is this more reasonable and would the handling be better? Thanks

Probably the best compromise you could buy for mixed use, outdrives are really usefull on rivers. It will take you a while to master the outdrives but once learnt you can make a boat do almost anything.
