Bavaria yacht sailing on Medway 11 Nov 2020

Don't blame you.

If anyone spots a boat called "Rainbow" out on the water, please don't take any pics and post them here, i'd rather not have an internet post mortem for the boat and my sail setting skills (or lack thereof). ?(y)
Challenge accepted. :) :) :) We have to get to show off our knowledge of other owners (possible your) mistakes, thats what the forums for, isn't it. Any one else going to join in.

In the meantime I can suggest some good lockdown and Christmas reading should be on how to improve your knowledge of sail setting. :D:D:D

As a former Bav owner for some 13 years I think the issue might be the sail and a stretching halyard plus an excess of wind-maybe he was caught by a gust at the point that our IPhone Bekenite captured his imagine . With the main sheet mounted where it is I think a nimble crew is required to free off in the gusts and often it’s easier to ease the headsail sheets before the inevitable loss of control and pointing up but it does mean you can sail much closer to the wind in the gusts than some heavier makes.
