Where are the domestic circuits connected ?

To the 2 contact on the 1-2-B, via a fuse & master switch. Both batteries have their own isolation switches but they're buried to be as close as possible to the batteries, so I rarely use them, just a couple of times a year to make sure they're still behaving.

Tut tut Brian, you know perfectly well that it isn't the same. Do you see a Victron label on it ?

So the domestic circuits are live all of the time, or you use the 2nd master switch to isolate them when you're not onboard ?

Indeed. I fit a lot of Victron stuff and have never had an out of the box failure.In fact, i've only ever had to replace one faulty Victron thing and that was a 15 year old inverter.

I have no affiliation with Victron, i just like fitting stuff that works.

I use the second master switch to isolate them. Incidentally, I have a twin battery controller for the solar panels, output 1 to terminal 1 and output 2 to terminal 2. 1 gets charged first, not usually for long, as the starter battery is usually recharged from the engine after starting, but it's more important, then 2.
