OK I've fitted a 24v wind gen. I've got a 24v reg for the 24v system and I can switch over to a 24 to 12v reg for the 12v system.
Now that is great when the wind she doth blow, but when I'm on my hols and tied up in a Marina with shore power on offer, and no wind, I want to charge from a mains 24v battery charger.
As I have these super-doper regulators siting around doing nothing, I don’t want to fork out for a hi-tech 240/24v ten stage charger, if there is such a thing.
So is there a cheapo 240/24v charger that I can get to drive the idle (expensive) regulators, or is it a visit to Maplins/R-S to buy a transformer, rectifier, etc. to make my own.
