Battery charge

I have put a 2nd battery on my boat and found that now neither will charge!

I think it must be either

1 Switch (1 - 1&2 - 2 - OFF)

2 Knackered Battery

3 Alternator


The Anmeter runs at 12 volt when the engine is running ?!


Any one got any ideas?

Do you mean the Voltmeter show 12 volts, if so the Alternator regulator is duff you need about 13.8V minimum to get a charge into the batteries.

If the anmeter is a voltmeter, the alternator is shot, should be above 14 volt.
