Thanks every one for advise, The switches were on, the batterys both charged up I think the domestic battery is some how not connected as some one said, but i managed with the engine gust ticking over it was mainly the Auto pilot I needed. will check when I next go to the boat, Thanks again. By the way Mr Boguing I did not expect the broker to put the sail up just a little advise and being ripped off left right and center I just wanted to get out of the marina. The electrics all worked under engine and when switched on and yes I sailed solo to scotland as an Ex marine and haveing soloed the Eiger I think sailing down the channel and up to the west coast a mear drop in the ocean even at 73.

Good for you!

Afraid I can't help with any electrical questions (barely know my amps from my elbow) but it does sound as if your problem should be fairly easily resolved by someone who does know one from t'other. Loose connection/blown fuse/tripped switch/dodgy cable sort of thing.

Sincere apology due. Payable in pints if we meet on the West coast this summer. I'm afraid that I was in the mindset of a new boat owner with bits that weren't working (gps and hair dryer). I'd expect them to delay departure until all was working. Didn't realise that you, like me, just need a compass and a chart.

If I was closer I'd bring my stuff and fix your electrical problem by way of penance. Hope I'm still around at 73!
