Does anyone have knowledge of a supplier of marine batteries in the Alicante area? Have trawled the net with little or no sucess. Thank you in advance.

Try any Garage.
Not necessarily marine, but easy to get & cost may be cheaper.
Had this problem in a small place near Almeria on a Sunday (engine battery u/s & all others flat).

The battery container only took a certain size but eventually sorted the problem albeit resorting to the marina engineers sourcing them. Not ideal but am now all fired up! Thank you both for your input,
