Hurrah! 65years ago today in 1941 saw the launch of the head-on crash between the two most potent and absolute armies in the history of the world. Operation Barbarossa.

Several hundred divisons faced each other acros the Eastern front. There were 10 times the aircraft losses suffered during the Battle of Britain during just the first six months, and at least twenty million deaths over the next 18 months attributable to the Nazi attack against Soviet Russia.

It's a good job that we're all friends these days. Otherwise - who knows? - we all might be dead!

Well, i thought that whilst we're doing all the forgiving and forgetting,we might at least er remember what exactly what we're forgetting and forgiving.

Heyho!

But we weren't involved in Barbarossa... therefore it barely happened

'xactly! And the fact that their casualties were nearly 100x ours was probably all down to suicides, exploding ammunition etc.
