Well as the 'Summer' draws to a close (and hopefully the bad weather will end /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) we can get out sailing again!

If the weather is half decent we were thinking of a trip up to the Deben to see if Sixpence has had a weather window and arrived. Anyone else going to be heading that way?

Our former boat, a Bavaria 34 named Tante Helena, is planning to visit Brightlingsea so we think we might hang around there to say hello to boat and owner. However if the weather is nice we might want to actually go somewhere!

Peter,

Not 100% sure what our plans are yet, as we are curently stuck in Ramsgate due to the weather... we're planning on a dash tomorrow to Boulogne or Dieppe, but probably won't go much further west given the outlook, so may well be heading back to the area for the early part of the weekend that includes the bank holiday.... in which case, we'd be keen to meet up somewhere to wish Sixpence good luck... will keep you posted as and when we come across WIFI access....

Ill be there, looks like i mght be moored at Ramsholt for a while, certainly untill November and perhaps for next season as well, i popped into cams sailing club and witnessed Sirena being dropped back in.

I forgot about that, I have now entered burnham week and will be heading over on the friday from bradwell. What are the arrangements for friday night? I am juggling trying to meet some eastcoasters and not treat my nonsailing mate in whitam like a hotel.

Hi, I'm at the mucky end where they seem to digging out a new marina. If I am correct C10 which is the inside of the new end pontoon. I'm a 22ft eboat moored next to a shrimper. I hope she's still there as I haven't been up for a couple of weeks. New baby and other commitments are limiting me to probably 1 day a month at the moment which is a bit sad. Should be up on sunday to give her a scrub and do some jobs before burnham weekend. Bradwell to Burnham is a reasonable trip in a little boat. If its not too rough I'm tempted to take the short cut this time though as the long way round took for ever last year.

You must be on E10 - C pontoon is in the middle. The plan was to put in a new pontoon along the side so they could accommodate larger boats but they seem to have moved a hell of a lot of earth just for that. Must be costing a fortune - I wonder who will pay for that /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Not there Sunday but will catch you one day.

I've been to Burnham via the Raysand Channel with a 1.7m fin keel (just). You should be fine and it saves a lot of time. Just have to punch a bit of tide to get down there on the last of the flood.
